Privacy Policy

Pingr ("the app") is a restock-alert tool for trading-card products. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information. Pingr does not display ads, but — only if you allow it when iOS asks — it shares a limited set of app events with Meta so we can measure how our own ads perform; see Advertising measurement below.

Who this is for

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Information we collect

We collect only what the app needs to function:

• Account information. Your email address and an account identifier. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier, the email (or Apple's private relay email), and your name if you choose to share it.
• Your preferences & activity. Your selected region/country, alert settings, and the items you save, like, or react to.
• Device & push token. If you enable alerts, a push notification token and device identifier used to deliver restock notifications.
• Usage analytics. How the app is used — screens viewed, features used, and in-app events — so we can understand and improve it.
• Purchase information. Subscription status and purchase history needed to unlock paid features. Payment is processed by Apple via in-app purchase; we never receive your full payment-card details.
• Advertising measurement data. Only if you allow tracking when iOS asks: your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) and a small set of app events, so we can tell whether an install or a subscription came from one of our ads. See Advertising measurement below.

We do not collect your precise location — "region" is a country preference you choose, not GPS. We do not access your contacts, camera, photos, or microphone. We use the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking when iOS asks, and only for the advertising measurement described below.

How we use information

To provide the core service (a region-appropriate, real-time feed of restock alerts), to operate and secure your account and subscription, to keep the app stable and improve it, to measure how our own advertising performs (see below), and to comply with legal obligations. We do not show ads inside Pingr and we do not use your information to target ads to you. Apart from the advertising measurement described below — which happens only with your permission — we do not track you across other apps or websites.

How information is shared

We share information only with service providers that help us run the app, acting on our instructions — Supabase (authentication and database), Expo / Apple Push Notification service (delivering notifications), Apple / RevenueCat (subscription processing and validation), Mixpanel (product analytics), and Meta Platforms, Inc. (advertising measurement and attribution, only as described below). We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public. We do not sell personal information.

Advertising measurement

To measure how ads for Pingr perform, the app includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK. Its only job is to tell us whether an install or a subscription came from one of our ads. Pingr does not display ads.

• If you allow tracking when iOS shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, we share your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) with Meta Platforms, Inc., together with app events: app install and launch, finishing account setup, the first time you tap through to a retailer listing, and starting a subscription transaction (including any StoreKit introductory offer and, when charged, its price and currency).
• If you decline — or turn tracking off later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking — the advertising identifier is not shared. Meta may still receive aggregated, privacy-preserving measurement of those events through Apple's SKAdNetwork and Meta's aggregated event measurement, which are not tied to your device's advertising identifier.
• Use of this data: only to measure and improve our advertising. We do not sell personal information. Meta's own handling of it is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy.

Outbound links to retailers

The app links out to third-party retailer websites so you can view or purchase products on the retailer's own site. We do not control and are not responsible for those sites; their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We never purchase, reserve, or transact on your behalf.

Data retention

We keep account and preference data while your account is active. Analytics data is retained for a limited period for operational purposes. When you delete your account, we delete your account and associated data (some records may be retained where required by law or for fraud-prevention and financial record-keeping).

Your choices and rights

• Alert preferences: adjust your alert and feed preferences at any time inside the app.
• Notifications: turn alerts off in the app or in your device's notification settings at any time.
• Ad tracking: allow or decline tracking when iOS asks, and change your answer at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Declining stops the advertising identifier from being shared with Meta.
• Account deletion: delete your account and associated personal data from within the app (Settings → Delete Account). Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription — manage that in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions.
• Access & control: depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Contact us to exercise them.

International users

We are based in the United States and process and store information there. If you use Pingr from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; we will post the new effective date here and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
